Proptech Check: Pandemic Opens New Lines of Business in Building Security
August 24, 2020 | Greg Cornfield | Commercial Observer
Proptech has expanded steadily and widely in commercial real estate, but since the pandemic put the economy on ice and forced businesses and offices to close around the country, it is becoming a vital component for managing buildings and safely monitoring workers across all asset types.
Brivo’s proptech platform launched almost two decades ago, but now it’s offering solutions to combat the spread of coronavirus. The cloud-based monitoring operations help businesses protect people in their buildings and improve access control in the new normal.
Their system can manage detailed contact tracing; manage user access with screening checkpoints and self-attestation; and allow for mobile credentials. The platform is utilized by several big-name companies like Walmart, Wells Fargo, Marriott International, Ford Motor and more.
