Sealy & Company Celebrates 80 Years of Proven Performance and Relationship-Driven Growth
From its 1946 founding to a national industrial investment platform, Sealy & Company continues to build on four generations of leadership and long-term growth.

Sealy & Company

Sealy & Company marks 80 years in business—a milestone that reflects sustained performance, disciplined execution, and long-term relationships. Founded in 1946 by J. Pollard Sealy, Sr., we have built our reputation on consistency, trust, and a focused investment strategy that performs across market cycles.

Originally established as Sealy Realty Company, our early work centered on land subdivision and residential development. Over time, we evolved into a fully integrated commercial real estate investment and operating platform. Today, we are a national leader in industrial and logistics real estate, recognized for operational expertise, market knowledge, and execution at scale.

A Legacy Built on Relationships and Results

Our growth is rooted in long-standing relationships with investors, partners, tenants, and communities. From the beginning, we have prioritized a hands-on, accountable approach—delivering results that build trust over time.

When J. Pollard Sealy, Jr. joined the firm, he expanded our capabilities into brokerage, appraisals, and property management—laying the foundation for a full-cycle operating model. Today, many of our partnerships span decades, reinforcing our belief that strong relationships are a core driver of long-term success.

Four Generations of Leadership

Continuity in leadership remains a strategic advantage. Across four generations, we have maintained a long-term perspective while evolving the platform to meet institutional standards.

Scott P. Sealy, Sr. played a transformational role in redefining the business. After joining in 1968, he led the firm’s transition from a traditional real estate services company into an investment and operating platform—expanding into new markets, deepening relationships with capital partners, and establishing a disciplined, ownership-focused approach that continues to define how we invest and operate today. His leadership positioned Sealy & Company to scale while maintaining a consistent investment philosophy.

Mark P. Sealy further advanced the platform by institutionalizing the business. After joining in 1981, he refined our strategic focus on industrial real estate and led the development of institutional-grade infrastructure across reporting, financial systems, and technology. These capabilities enhanced transparency, scalability, and execution—aligning the firm with the expectations of sophisticated capital partners and enabling long-term growth.

Since 2001, Scott P. Sealy, Jr. and Michael P. Sealy have continued to scale our national platform while maintaining disciplined execution and a consistent investment approach.
“Over multiple market cycles, consistency in decision-making and risk management drives long-term performance,” said Mark P. Sealy, President.

A Scalable Platform with a Proven Strategy

Over the past five decades, we have built a national investment platform focused on industrial and logistics assets—sectors where we have deep expertise and conviction.

Our fully integrated platform—spanning acquisitions, development, asset management, property management, and construction—allows us to control execution and drive performance at every stage of the investment lifecycle.

Key performance metrics reflect our scale and consistency:
  • $8.2B+ in total investment volume since 2001
  • $3.2B in assets under management
  • 300+ investment partnerships
  • 125+ employees nationwide

These results are driven by a repeatable strategy focused on market selection, disciplined underwriting, and active asset management.
“Our approach centers on fundamentals—location, basis, and execution,” said Scott P. Sealy, Jr., Chief Investment Officer. “Long-term value is created through disciplined operations and consistent performance.”

Disciplined Through Cycles, Focused on the Future

We operate with a long-term investment mindset, prioritizing well-located assets in supply-constrained markets and maintaining a disciplined approach to capital deployment. Rather than reacting to short-term trends, we focus on fundamentals that drive durable performance.
“As our platform grows, precision in execution becomes even more critical,” said Scott P. Sealy, Sr., Chairman. “We remain focused on evaluating opportunities carefully, operating assets effectively, and delivering consistent results.”
Our commitment to operational excellence is reflected in 11 BOMA 360 designations, including two new recognitions in 2026. We have also been recognized as a Great Place to Work for seven consecutive years (2019–2025) and named to the Fortune Best Workplaces list.

80 Years of Commercial Real Estate Investment Excellence

As we enter our ninth decade, we remain focused on disciplined investment, operational execution, and long-term partnerships. Our success is built on experience, consistency, and relationships—delivering performance that stands the test of time.
