A Small Sample of Real Estate Properties Damaged in Minneapolis

One of our readers questioned why we posted an article about the damage done by rioters in Minneapolis and Portland. A look at the portfolios of nontraded REITs and DSTs will reveal that many programs have properties that are leased to the following companies:  AutoZone, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Walgreens and Walmart. What follows is an incomplete list of the properties damaged, looted or destroyed in Minneapolis alone as of June 6, 2020. This list was compiled by bringmethenews.com and we’ve alphabetized it for easy reference. We hope it illustrates why destructive riots in cities like Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle, to name a few, may have significant impacts on property values and business risks faced by investors in those municipalities.
