Apollo Pushes Daily Pricing as Private Credit Moves Closer to the Mainstream
Private credit has become a staple of many alternative investment portfolios—but could daily pricing be the next development that accelerates advisor adoption?

Private credit has long appealed to investors seeking income and diversification, but limited pricing transparency has remained a hurdle for many financial advisors. Apollo Global Management is looking to change that by introducing daily valuations across its private credit platform, a move the firm believes will make private market investments more accessible to wealth managers, retirement plans, and individual investors. The initiative builds on Apollo’s broader effort to bring private assets closer to the experience investors expect from traditional public market products.

According to Apollo CEO Marc Rowan, providing daily net asset values (NAVs) is intended to help advisors more easily incorporate private credit into client portfolios by improving transparency and simplifying portfolio reporting. Apollo began producing daily valuations for its investment-grade direct lending assets in July and expects to extend the capability across its credit platform by early October. The announcement comes as Apollo reported record quarterly fundraising and surpassed $1 trillion in assets under management, underscoring continued investor demand for private credit despite broader market uncertainty.

For financial advisors, the initiative could represent another step toward integrating alternative investments into everyday portfolio management. More frequent pricing may improve client reporting, facilitate portfolio rebalancing, and increase comfort with private market allocations. While daily pricing does not change the underlying liquidity characteristics of private credit investments, it may reduce one of the industry’s longstanding barriers to adoption by making these strategies feel more familiar alongside traditional investments.
