Davis Polk & Wardwell boosted its investment management practice with a hire from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, the firm said Monday.
Registered funds partner Christopher Healey joins Davis Polk in Washington, D.C.
“In addition to addressing a strategic objective for our Investment Management practice, Chris is key to the buildout of our corporate presence in Washington,” said Neil Barr, Davis Polk’s managing partner.
Healey’s clients include Blackstone, Apollo, Carlyle, BC Partners and First Eagle, which he advises on BDCs, closed-end and interval funds, asset management M&A transactions and other topics.
Healey was a lawyer at Simpson Thacher for almost a decade, including nearly three years after making partner in 2022.
