While the presidential election may be over, there is fresh uncertainty about the incoming administration’s economic agenda and how Trump 2.0 tax policy will impact investors. For instance, what will become of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act? The landmark law’s reform efforts ushered in the largest corporate tax reform in a generation1 and lifted U.S. capital investment2.
Retail investors need to know whether, and how, any tax code changes could impact their portfolios. And this most certainly includes alternative investments.
None of us can see into the future, but sometimes all you need to gain insight is to ask one of your peers for their thoughts. That’s why we created Blue Vault Community Groups for wealth advisors! These groups are designed to bring advisors together regionally and virtually to foster a year-round environment of growth, support, and continuous learning around alternative investments.
If you need to equip yourself for client questions about future tax policy, then you won’t want to miss our next community group meeting on Monday, December 16, 2024! Scott Hodge of the Tax Foundation is our guest speaker and will give a brief update on next year’s tax debate and the challenges that Trump and the Congress face in extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Hodge is one of Washington’s leading experts on tax policy, the federal budget, and government spending. We are also excited to welcome Scott Hodge as a speaker at our 2025 Alts Summit in March.
There is no cost to join a community group, and the time commitment is just one hour a month: Each group meets from 4:00-5:00 p.m. EST every third Monday of the month. You are free to come and go as needed, and it’s OK to miss one meeting and return for the next! There are no strings attached. You don’t have to sign a contract or anything more formal than a simple registration form.
