Gaining insight into the mechanics and potential benefits of alternatives isn’t always easy, but it needn’t be a hard slog. Sometimes all it takes is opening up and asking one of your peers for advice. That’s why we created Blue Vault Community Groups for wealth advisors! These groups are designed to bring advisors together regionally and virtually to foster a year-round environment of growth, support, and continuous learning around alternative investments.
Any wealth advisor serving clients may sign up to join a community group. You’ll meet other advisors and learn which strategies and specific products work for them — or don’t — and why. And that’s just scratching the surface! Signing up provides many perks. The following are five reasons why joining a Blue Vault Community Group is a smart move for any advisor:
One: Grow Your Career
Community groups are a great opportunity to enhance your practice through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Blue Vault hosts and facilitates the start of each meeting, which includes a guest speaker who presents on a chosen topic for 5-10 minutes. (These speakers are there to inspire and educate you, not sell you products or services.) After that, you’ll break off into a small group based on your time zone and group availability.
Two: Grow Your Network
We currently have five community groups representing professionals from across the country, and we expect that number to grow steadily. As Fred Hubler points out in his April 2024 Forbes article, networking is essential to learning more about alternative investments.
Three: Engage in Active, Not Passive, Learning
Blue Vault believes in the power of learning through discussion. That’s why community groups are led by wealth advisors like you! Share alternative investment insights, challenges, and strategies in a collaborative environment liberated from passive learning.

Each group receives educational content to expand your alts knowledge and practice management expertise. Blue Vault is driven to help wealth advisors develop a deeper understanding of alts and stay informed about the latest trends, strategies, and structures.
Five: It’s Free and Easy to Join!
There is no cost to join a community group, and the time commitment is just one hour a month: Each group meets from 4:00-5:00 p.m. EST every third Monday of the month. You are free to come and go as needed, and it’s OK to miss one meeting and return for the next! There are no strings attached. You don’t have to sign a contract or anything more formal than a simple registration form.
