In 1973, CNL founder James M. Seneff, Jr. took a $5,000 loan from his father and began his own business buying real estate in downtown Orlando for less than $3 a square foot. Forty years later, his investment has grown to become CNL Financial Group (“CNL”), a private investment management firm providing real estate and alternative investments. CNL is headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Since its inception in 1973, CNL and/or its affiliates have formed or acquired companies with more than $34 billion in assets.  CNL has sponsored 122 investment programs, including 90 private programs and 32 public programs. Today, under the leadership of Seneff, CNL continues to explore alternative investment options, both in and out of real estate, seeking to offer a diverse group of investment products to fit the ever-changing needs of investors.
