Strategic Storage Trust VI in JV with SmartCentres REIT

SmartCentres REIT teamed up with Strategic Storage Trust VI Inc., a private real estate investment trust sponsored by a SmartStop Self Storage REIT Inc. affiliate, to buy approximately 2.7 acres of land in Toronto. Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc. is a Reg. D offering, exempt under Rule 506(b). It is being sold by Pacific Oak Capital Markets, LLC. The total offering amount is $220 million.

The land at 1480 Jane St. will be used to develop a six-story self-storage facility spanning nearly 99,000 net rentable square feet with approximately 1,200 units.
